That’s right! I have updated the front page of Danimation with alot of detail about me and what I do as a stereoscopic expert. There’s alot of meat in there and if any one wants to ask specific questions about anything please feel free to email me or hit up the forums with your questions.
My first DVD training will be finished soon. My publisher will have artwork for the cover soon. I can’t wait to see what it will look like! Also there will be a pair of red/cyan anaglyph glasses in each DVD. Everyone should have a pair. Its the easiest cheapest way to see 3D on your computer.
Congrats Dan. Love the new blog. We do some 3D stereoscopic stuff at the National Civil War Life Museum (both period and new pieces). The director just got a dual lens wet-plate camera and I am anxious to see how it works using 1800’s equipment. They also have a great 3D show at the museum that shows stereoscopic versions of famous photos by Brady, Gardner and O’Sullivan. It’s very impressive what they were able to do back in the day with a little primitive technology and a lot of ingenuity.
Sweet. Glad you liked it! Stereo photography dates back to the early 1800’s by Charles Wheatstone who figured it all out. I think its fantastic that we have stereo photos of the war. I’d love to collaborate on something in the future!
